- I named the blog The Freckled House because freckles are something that have defined me all my life. I'm that girl with red hair and freckles. You know, the one that got teased mercilessly for having pale skin and spots all over herself.
- This blog is a reflection of the things I am interested in. At this point I can't narrow that down enough to keep things to one topic.
- I'm a stay-at-home mom. It is my full-time job and biggest priority.
- I have a nine-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
- The kids are growing freckles too!
- Four years ago we moved into our current home, a 2800 square foot spec house. It's big on room, but not on personality. I want to change that.
- I live somewhere in northern Idaho.
- I believe that a home is created one spot (or freckle) at a time. I don't believe in huge before and afters, just little projects that add up to big changes in your home.
- I love to cook. I rarely follow recipes.
- I try to eat healthy. The recipes here will reflect that. I'm really good at making unhealthy stuff to. We'll see what happens.
- I hate to throw old stuff away. I usually try to make it into something else first.
- I like to do everything myself. I'm frugal to the bone. If I don't know how to do something I will figure it out. I believe I can learn to do anything by looking it up online or at the library.
- I love to read - especially classics. Unfortunately, when I read nothing gets done. Instead I listen to audio books on my I-pod while I work. It helps keep me keep patient when working on difficult projects.
- I tend to take on more projects than I can handle. As a consequence there are a lot of half finished projects lurking around my home.
- I'm a Mormon.
- I think of myself as shy, but most people don't believe me when I tell them that. I hide it well.
- I have never done anything perfectly. It annoys me to death!
